On Saturday, February 23, 2013, the Haw River Wine Trail wineries --Grove, GlenMarie, Iron Gate and Benjamin-- will host food and wine themed pairings where samples of a selected wine and a selected food will be offered for our guests enjoyment. A different course will be served at each winery where the winemaker has chosen one wine to be served with a food selection.
The event will run from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Participants may sample courses and wines in any order along the trail. Advanced purchase ticket sales only. Only 150 total tickets will be sold for this event, and tickets must be purchased before 5pm on Wed 2/20. Tickets are only $18.74 ($20 w/tax) per person.
- Grove will feature a locally made cheese and salami sampler plate served with our Estate Merlot
- GlenMarie will serve shrimp skewers with their wine
- Iron Gate will serve Jamaican Black Bean Soup with their Sauvignon Blanc
- Benjamin will will be serving Lemon Chess Pie with their Magnolia
