The current 2010 blend was bottled on 8/1/2011 and contains:
- 58% Cabernet Sauvignon
- 38% Cabernet Franc
- 3% Nebbiolo
- 1% Malbec

The wine is named for the Roanoke (Staunton) River with headwaters in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwestern Virginia. The river later tracks the NC/VA border finally emptying into the Albemarle Sound. The Roanoke River makes up Smith Mountain, Leesville, Kerr, Gaston and Roanoke Rapids lakes. So perhaps this is the perfect glass of wine to enjoy lakeside with a burger on one of these lakes.

• The 2011 Roanoke River Red won silver medals in the 2012 NC Wine Competition and the 2012 Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine Competition
• The 2010 Roanoke River Red won a gold medal in the 2011 Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine Competition and medaled in the 2011 North Carolina Wine Competition.
